Wemyss & March Phase 5 Peatland Restoration Project
It is proposed to restore a 96 hectare area of blanket bog on Wemyss & March Estate. The work will involve a mixture of peat hag re-profiling (13,810 m) and construction of peat or mineral soil baffles to deflect water away from the base of re-profiled peat hags. 625 metres of ditches will also require blocking with peat dams.
