Training - Harmful Sexual Behaviour

There has been a significant increase in newly qualified social workers joining East Ayrshire’s Children & Families social work department. For many, they will as yet have no practice knowledge or experience of supporting children or adolescents who display Harmful Sexual Behaviour (HSB). Added to this, we are experiencing an increase in referrals for children and young people showing trauma-based behaviours, and need to support our front line workers to understand the potential drivers and contributors to this.
