Coastal Protection Works at Stornoway Airort

Stornoway Airport is located immediately west of Stornoway Town on the Island of Lewis. It is a major transport hub for the Western Isles. The northern and western perimeters of the airport comprise sand dunes and estuary, onto a beach which opens out to the Atlantic Ocean (‘The Minch’).
