Transportation of Deceased Persons
Police Scotland have a range of operational circumstances where they are required to transport deceased persons when a death occurs in the community. These fall broadly into the two categories of Police Reportable Deaths and Medical Deaths where the Procurator Fiscal instructs the police to carry out an investigation into the circumstances of a death. The contract is for the removal and transportation of deceased persons between various locations on a call out and planned basis.
