Phase 2 Ground investigations West End New Builds

Newcastle City Council has awarded a contract for Phase 2 ground investigation works across eight proposed residential development sites within the West End of Newcastle upon Tyne. The investigation will establish ground conditions, assess risks associated with potential shallow and unrecorded coal mining, characterise potential contamination, and provide geotechnical and engineering information to support the future design, development and permitting of the sites.
