The NHS Health Check programme is aimed at detecting those most at risk of Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) and will be offered to patients aged 40-74 years old. This programme is provided by GPs in Leicester City who are given a payment for every patient seen and if a patient is placed on a management plan a further payment is given.
