Ham Street Woods NNR Track Surfacing 2025

The access tracks running through Ham Street Woods National Nature Reserve / SSSI to the south of Ashford in Kent (managed by Natural England) become very wet and muddy in winter due to the clay substrate. The main aim of this project is to surface 300m of track that link to a 1km surfaced bridleway (the main public right of way bisecting the reserve) to create year-round circular routes for visitors, thereby enhancing their enjoyment of the site and reducing disturbance to the wider woodland.
