Healthcare in Custody

The service is required to meet the healthcare needs of detainees in Police Custody and to carry out healthcare assessments by forensic examinations on suspects when required by the police. West Yorkshire Police are the lead contracting authority for the current regional collaborative contract between West Yorkshire Police, South Yorkshire Police and Humberside Police. Agreement is to be reached regarding whether the new contract remains collaborative or as 3 separate single Force contracts.
