Pont Cyfnant Bridge Strengthening

The works are the following: Excavate the fill material behind the masonry arch of Pont Cyfnant, retaining the spandrel walls and masonry arch itself. The interior masonry is to be cleaned and masonry anchors installed at regular intervals to tie the masonry to the new concrete fill. The arch fill is to be replaced with concrete in several lifts and waterproofed at the finished level.
