The contact Lens service at Moorfields Eye Hospital is the largest hospital based medical contact lens service in the UK. 15,000 patients attend the contact lens service on an annual basis for medically necessary contact lenses. The contact lens manufacturing lab produced 2500 rigid gas permeable contact lenses and approximately 500 scleral lenses per annum, which provides our patients with sight correction that they would not have through any other means of correction.
