The Council wish to undertake a pilot project to test the merits of engaging a 3rd party to undertake low value procurements with a view to undertaking a compliant procurement process should the pilot be successful in delivering cashable and process savings. Given that this is a pilot it is not considered that a full procurement process would add value either to the authority or the supply market at this point.

It is intended to undertake an initial 6 month pilot to prove the benefits of this approach, with a possible extension to 12 months should this addition time to prove the effectiveness of the pilot be required.
