Core Valley Lines (CVL) Ancillary Track Works

Track improvement works associated with the installation of Overhead Power and increased train frequencies on the Core Valley Lines (CVL). Additional construction track works to complete the overall scope of the project on the Cardiff and Merthyr (CAM) lines, City Lines (CTL), Rhymney Line (RHY) and on the Cardiff Bay Line (BAY). These works include: Achievement of level boarding at platforms Replacement of existing buffer stops Re-ballast and rerail Track Lowers Track realignment and line speed improvements
