The Bluecoat School is situated in the Urban settlement of Oldham. This area is located to the Northeast of Central Manchester. The site is surrounded to the North, East and West by largely residential properties. Immediately to the South there are midrise detached apartment blocks with industrial warehouse style estates beyond to the South.
