HMP Leyhill has an old copper pipework infrastructure from the plant rooms to the wing and steel heating loops. All pipework feeding the heating's loops are below ground in a vaulted floor with very limited access. This comes up above the floor to the steel heating loop supplying heating to the cells on all spurs to A & B wings. (385 spaces).
