Development of a land use cover map will contribute to the overall aims and objectives of the BLF Madagascar project. It will provide a baseline for monitoring LUC going forward and to plan and organise activities linked to biodiversity protection and sustainable livelihoods development in the area. The land cover map will include the principal vegetation types, including agriculture and tree plantations as well as modified areas due to infrastructure .
