PC05873 - Forge Dam Heritage and Wildlife Improvements

Sheffield City Council, with the support of the Friends of the Porter Valley, are working together to regenerate the millpond at Forge Dam in Sheffield. Over a number of years the pond has become heavily silted, resulting in a loss of amenity, reduced wildlife value and a hazard to visitors. The purpose of the project is to remove silt built up in the dam over the last 30 years and minimise future silt deposition.
