School Fire Safety Upgrades

The Council of the Borough of Kirklees invited selected companies to demonstrate their ability and competitiveness for the proposed fire safety upgrade works at sites across the Council's estate. There is a total of 29 Schools (sites) to be upgraded, Birkby, Crow Lane and Grange Moor being the largest of the portfolio, over a 12-month period. As part of this tendering exercise, a Schedule of Rates will be formed, to allow Kirklees Council to conclude the cost and commission the remaining 26 Schools.
