ITT259 Provision of Biomass Wood Chip Fuel for 995KW biomass boiler.

The University is embarking on a programme to create a wholly new campus on a brown field site providing state-of-the-art facilities and technology, the new campus will open in September 2018 academic year. A 995KW Herz Biofire biomass boiler has been installed in the Energy Centre at Waterside Campus. This will provide the baseload heat to the campus wide district heating system.
