Statutory Homelessness Reviews

Part 7 of the Housing Act 1996 as amended by the Homelessness Act 2002 governs the Council's duties to individuals who make homeless applications. The Council has a duty to decide whether an applicant is eligible for assistance and if any duty is owed to them. An applicant has the right to request a review of such a decision under section 202 of the Housing Act 1996.
