Treatment of Green Waste in Leicestershire

Leicestershire County Council ("the Council"), in 2019, managed approximately 42,000 tonnes of green waste per annum (pa). The Council directs green waste under its control to one of a number of composting facilities in the midlands region to ensure such waste is directed away from landfill mitigating the carbon impact of the management of such waste.
