Develop modules to teach Functional Skills in Maths and English for initial teacher training and CPD

A contract was awarded to produce two modules to support the teaching of Functional Skills maths and English, one for each subject. The key purpose was to ensure that both new teachers of these subjects and those already teaching, but possibly recently transferred from other areas, are conversant with effective practice and have the confidence to teach learners with skills below Level 2 in maths and English, and support their achievement.
