The Council has a number of statutory obligations with respect to the collection of Stray Dogs. The Council's ultimate aim is to re-unite a Stray Dog with its Owner, or if the Owner is not found, to re-home the dog. The contractor will receive, and respond to telephone calls detailing reports of both confined and roaming stray dogs.
