Background Information for the proposed Work Order The site is the A194(M) southbound carriageway between the A1(M)/A194(M) Jc 65 Birtley, and the A194(M)/A184T Whitemare Pool roundabout. The existing pavement surfacing consists of a mixture of a Thin Surface Course System (TSCS) between 7-10 years old, and an aged Hot Rolled Asphalt (HRA).
