Legal Services support for academisations

All LA maintained schools can voluntarily apply to become an academy. RI schools that are not deemed to be making sufficient progress can become subject of a DfE Academy Order. Once the decision is made to progress with an academisation, the Department for Education will issue the City Council with an instruction to commence and engage with the process.
