In 2019 NATO is celebrating its 70th Anniversary with a range of events throughout the year, culminating in a meeting in London of NATO Heads of State and Government in December. As a founding member and NATO's leading European Ally, our membership of the Alliance remains the cornerstone of the UK's defence and security policy.
