Realistic shear assessment of theoretically sub-standard concrete bridges

The objective of this project is to ensure this balance is struck by ensuring we have, in the DMRB documents, provisions for the assessment of concrete structures that lead to as more realistic outcomes as possible in terms of safe load carrying capacity, and is therefore looking into a review of such provisions (as far as the specific issue defined in S110.1 is concerned) and performing a feasibility study looking into how to improve such provisions.
