Introduction to Biomass Suppliers List (BSL)
The Biomass Suppliers List (BSL) was introduced by the Department for Business Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS), formerly the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC), in April 2014. It supports the Government's Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) scheme by ensuring that RHI payments are only issued to biomass boilers using woodfuel that meets certain sustainability and legal requirements.
