In-pond Sampling

This PIN is to inform the supply chain that the National Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) is considering developing tooling to sample deposit flakes adhered to fuel stored in a pond. The retrieved samples are analysed by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). An accurate sampling tool and method is required for operation in pond, this could work in conjunction with current endoscopic equipment or as a new device.
