This is a peatland restoration contract, funded through the Defra Peat Fund, on land owned by Cottage and Glendale Caravan Park. The land concerned is designated as Glasson Moss Site of Special Scientific Interest, also part of the South Solway Mosses Special Area of Conservation. The contract also includes peaty ground immediately adjacent to Glasson Moss SSSI, also owned by Cottage and Glendale Caravan Park.
