The proposed footbridge connects bridleway 37 and bridleway 79 along the south bank of the river Ribble in South Ribble. This is a replacement to the previous footbridge which suffered storm damage in February 2020 and was subsequently demolished. The footbridge will carry pedestrians, cyclists, and horse riders over a tributary of the River Ribble.
