Inefficient Vehicles Export Research Project
BEIS would like to commission an external organisation to conduct research into the UK's contribution to the dumping of inefficient 2nd hand vehicles in ODA countries. This research will consist of a port study to record the VIN and Reg numbers of between 500-1000 vehicles and test a smaller number (around 150) for irregularities and the general state of the car at export, looking for vital missing parts which affect the efficiency and safety such as missing catalytic converters.
