Provision of a Statutory Funeral Service (with Municipal Provision)

The Service specifies those funerals that the Council has a statutory duty to provide under the Public Health (Control of Disease) Act 1984 (Statutory Funerals only) where there are no surviving family members, relatives or any other person who might reasonably be expected to arrange and pay for the funeral, or where no estate exists from which to recover funeral costs.
