B990 Fordingbridge Bypass Half-Joint Investigation

B990 Fordingbridge Bypass carries the A338 single carriageway over River Avon. The bridge is a single span portal, comprising reinforced concrete cantilevers with a suspended composite deck central span supported in form of half-joints. Previous inspections have shown defects across the edges of both (north & south) half-joints due to degraded sealant over the expansion joints and ingress of water.
