Market Engagement Regarding the Provision of Post Mortem and Mortuary Services

The Council has a legal obligation to provide post-mortem (PM) and mortuary facilities under The Coroners and Justice Act (2009) working closely with the Lincolnshire HM Coroner's Service. Of the deaths reported to the Coroner, approx. 1300 each year require a post mortem, equating to 40% of reportable deaths.
