A latex pump must be CE marked, be made of a substantial material to protect from external stress, to have a carry case to make the pump as discreet as possible and the volumes on the pump to be easily readable. Each pump needs to provide ambulatory infusion therapy over a 24 hour period, and have a prove run time of + or – 10%.
