ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES & MONITORING

Sheffield City Council's (SCC) closed landfill sites (CLfS) are managed by the Council's Countryside Service. The CLfS need to be monitored regularly to meet statutory obligations and assess the environmental risks associated with landfill gas and leachate. Much of the monitoring and reporting is undertaken internally, but for business continuity and contingency reasons, an external contractor is required. Contractors will be required to undertake ad hoc, scheduled, or unscheduled site visits or monitoring.
