Kennelling of Stray Dogs
The Council has a duty under the Environmental Protection Act 1990 (as amended) to kennel stray dogs for a minimum period of seven clear days, including any dogs defined in Section 1 of the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 as a banned breed. This duty is over seen by the Councils internal Dog Warden Service.
