Essex Independent Living Programme

Subject to the completion of the Council's governance process, the Independent Living project aims to facilitate the building of a number of Independent Living / Extra Care schemes across Essex over the next 7 years. This will be achieved through the release of public land to providers to privately finance, develop, and build new schemes to serve the residents of Essex and those on the ECC social care register.
