Contract Award - Provision of Replacement Lift Ropes and associated Lift Lighting in the Solid State Phased Array Radar at RAF Fylingdales

Two individual elements of the lift system in the Solid State Phased Array Radar (SSPAR) at RAF Fylingdales have been identified as requiring attention. The lift ropes, although nominally possessing a ten-year life, have been identified during two previous annual inspections as experiencing accelerated wear.
