Mode-S data service
Since 2012 the Met Office has been generating wind observations from Mode-S EHS and ADS-B messages collected by our own network of receivers spread across the United Kingdom. This data has been demonstrated to have a positive impact when assimilated into our numerical weather prediction model for the UK.
