The footbridge spans over the A338 Wessex Way and provides a vital link over a busy dual carriageway. The bridge comprises a single span over the carriageway with spiral ramps at either end. The construction is reinforced concrete bridge supported on reinforced concrete ramps. There are four movement joints two of which are halving joints.
