A certified practitioner still has to follow the buyer’s tender documents.
Using it in a UK bid
Use APMP ideas to set a bid plan, map requirements to owners, control versions and schedule reviews. Keep the buyer’s response form and deadline as the source of truth. Avoid claiming that APMP certification is required for public contracts unless a specific opportunity says so.
For example, a small IT supplier might use APMP planning techniques to create a compliance matrix and review calendar, while one person performs several roles. That can improve control without turning a voluntary professional standard into a mandatory qualification.
